Upon searching the web, and through their return policy, finding information in regards to returning stamps to Walmart was nonexistent. From what we could find, there were no specifics relating to the return or exchange of postage stamps. You can view Walmart’s return policy here.
We started an online chat session with walmart.com customer support. The question must have stumped the agent as it took her over 5 minutes to respond.
You can return stamps to Walmart but there are requirements
First of all, you must have a receipt or order number showing that the postage stamps were originally purchased from Walmart. Additionally, you must return the stamps within 90 days from purchase.
If you don’t meet both of those requirements, you won’t be able to return your stamps.
Aside from a cash refund, we asked if we would be able to exchange the stamps for other designs. They replied that we could if we have the order number or receipt.
We then asked what their policy was if we were to use some of the stamps we purchased, and wanted to return a partial book or roll of stamps. They said that we should purchase the stamps first, and then contact support to find out. Needless to say we did not take the bait.
What are your other options?
If you’re unable to return your stamps to Walmart, there alternative ways to get a cash refund. Unfortunately, the Post Office does not buy back stamps. Luckily, there are services that will provide you with a cash refund for retuning your stamps to them instead.
With services like Return My Stamps, you can return stamps for a cash refund. Their process is quick and easy. Plus, you can save yourself from the time consuming process of dealing with Walmart customer support.
